Four hundred new electric vehicle (EV) charging points have been given the go-ahead by Mayor John Biggs at September’s Cabinet meeting as Tower Hamlets council works to create a cleaner, greener borough.
By the end of March next year, 150 new street light EV charging points are due to be installed by the council.
Cllr James King said “I think there are several prime locations in the ward. With residents I have put this to council officers over the past few years.
Now I want resident input to help me convince officers to prioritise installation of EV chargers in Limehouse.”
